Holiday Seed Cards
To plant your Cards
To prepare your pot, fill it 2/3 full with good potting soil. Tap down the soil and add more if necessary. The soil should be firmly full, but not packed.
The paper can be planted either indoors or outdoors; the choice is yours (although outdoor planting is not recommended during extreme weather conditions).
To plant the paper, overlay it on the soil in the prepared pot. It's okay if the paper overlaps.
Spread a 1/8 inch layer of soil over the plantable paper pieces and gently pat it down.
Water during Germination.
After placing the paper in your pot, give it a thorough soak. Aim for the paper and soil to be pleasantly damp but not saturated.
During the initial 10 days, ensure the paper remains consistently moist.
Care After Germination
Once sprouts emerge, maintain the paper's moisture, being cautious not to overwater.
Once sturdy plants appear, water as needed.
